living in Kauai question

i would like to ask you about the parts of kauai that i cant
find over the computer i am going there in a while and
planing to stay, i was wondering if it is a good place
to live or is it better to visit? if you would be kind
enough to answer that would be very helpful thank you.

Only you can really answer that question. It's a great place to live for some, and some don't like it at all. I like it for some reasons (great weather, gorgeous scenery and views, ocean and water sports, not crowded) and don't like it for others (poor schools, too far away from anywhere, nothing for the youngest kids to do). the west or the south sides of the island is were i was planing to stay. but when ever i look for a place all i find is b&b's and other lodgings. i can never seem to find what i want, its all touristy. as for the quite life i would like that. i've always been partial to small town were ever

Why don't you look into Waimea or Kekaha, or anything past the poipu area? Look at the real estate sites or the kauai newspaper classifieds, not general search results. there are plenty of small towns in Kauai, and although they all rely on tourism to one degree or another, many are not touristy at all.
