Maui snorkel Trip - a contest entry from Monica

My husband and I got "Maui'ed" at the Kea Lani Hotel. The whole trip was crazy and stunning from start to finish. Before the wedding, we spent several days at the Maui Prince Hotel. I couldn't wait to get my New Jersey fellow into the water and get him snorkeling for the first time. They don't snorkel in New Jersey. We waded in from the beach and I started out for the coral. I had to keep going back for my fiance who found a few sand-colored fish and, being amazed that there were actually live fish to be seen, he had to be dragged away from them. I wish I could have seen his face once we got to the rocks and the reef. He was surrounded by a rainbow of sea life, the tropical fish, eels, even a sea turtle! The rest of the trip, aside from the wedding, was a search for the next greatest reef. Molokini was a special treat! My husband became a convert, from sand-kicker to snorkel-man, and we are now eagerly awaiting our next trip to the Islands (over Thanksgiving) where the search will continue on the Big Island.
