Legal Drinking age in Hawaii

I have been searching the "Ask Jeeves" site for a straight answer on my question "What is the legal drinking age in Hawaii?" and I can not find a straight answer. So if you could please find it in your heart to find an answer to my question, I would be deeply appreciated. My daughter and friend are visiting Maui(different island-different rules?)this month and I would like to have an answer for them. Thank you very much!!

The Legal drinking age on all the islands, indeed the entire state, is the same as the rest of the country: 21.

When I was 20 almost 21 I went to Hawaii. Found out right away the
drinking age had just been changed
to 20!

That was 1972. When did it change

1986, Hawaii was one of the last states to comply with the Federal Highway Act of 1984 that mandated all states go to 21 or lose their federal highway funding (ironically, the act was justified because of underage drinkers driving across state lines to buy and drink alcohol in states with lower drinking ages- a problem that does not exist in Hawaii or Alaska)
