My name is Lisa. I live on the Big Island. My family and I travel around the islands as much as we can. Drop me a line if you want to ask me a question about Hawaii or the site.

    2. Hi Lisa,
    I’m considering moving to Hawaii to teach. Do you know what areas have a high need for teachers? Do you know of any particularly good districts? Ones to avoid? Or, do you know of any online resources with this kind of information? Thanks for any help you can offer.

    We will be going to Kauai for 2 days and Oahu for 5 days beginning 10/13. We’d like to focus on flora–the beautiful flowers, mountains, etc. What would you recommend as the best use of limited time? We have considered a hike through Manoa Valley. We’re not adventurous hikers, but can handle a couple miles of walking. Appreciate any insights you have.

    I think your website is great! My fiance wants to move to hawaii very badly i am a little leary however, ive been trying to gather as much info as i can. In your honest opionion which island is the cheapest to live and best for getting a job. Also i am 4 months pregnant so i would need to find info on health insurance and do they have a WIC program over there? Or where to gather info about assistance for moms to be. anything you could tell me would be wonderfull.
